Examples of what your dollars can provide for the mission:
- $5,000: A major outreach event on campus.
- $2,500: Train a part-time staff person to work with college students.
- $1,000: A partial scholarship for a student to attend a College or University.
- $500: A day of catering for 250 young people at a Ties that Bind Leadership & Mentoring Event.
- $250: Materials for a campus Mentoring group.
- $100: A weekly Outreach activity such as a Men’s Night or Women’s Night.
- $97: A Sports Camp scholarship for a student.

OTHER METHODS OF GIVING TO The L.O.T. Initiative Inc.
Matching Gifts: Many supporters of The Leaders of Tomorrow Initiative are employed by one of the hundreds of companies that will match a gift to The L.O.T. Initiative. All matching gifts are credited to the donor’s annual giving total for the current year. To find out if your company will match gifts to The L.O.T. Initiative, contact your human resources department.
Gifts-in-Kind: A gift-in-kind is a gift of personal property that is charitably gifted to The Leaders of Tomorrow Initiative. Gifts-in-kind, such as books, equipment, real estate, vehicles, and artwork can all qualify donors for charitable gift credit. Gifts-in-kind must be properly appraised through the donor’s effort.
Stock Transfer/E-Trade: Gifts of appreciated securities are a great way to transmit assets to The Leaders of Tomorrow Initiative as charitable contributions.
Planned Gifts: While most gifts come in the form of current support (cash, checks, etc.), some of the friends of The Leaders of Tomorrow Initiative have found that they can make a larger impact by engaging in a planned gift to The L.O.T. Initiative. Planned giving allows donors to leave a legacy for the “Next generation of Society’s Leaders” that will last well into the future. Some examples of planned giving are:
• Bequests
• Retirement Plans
• Endowments
• Retained Life Estate
• Charitable Gift Annuities
• Life Insurance
Planned gifts may also reduce or eliminate income or estate taxes, based on advantageous treatment provided under state and federal laws for charitable giving.
Memorial and Honorary Gifts: Gifts of any type may be made in honor of, or in memory of, a specific individual. The Leaders of Tomorrow Initiative notifies the honoree or relative regarding all gifts made in this way.

The Leaders of Tomorrow Initiative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All contributions to The L.O.T are income tax deductible and are made with the understanding that LOT has complete discretion and control over the use of all donated funds. A year-end statement will be sent out to all donors in February.
