Featured Carthen Scholar: Ms. Christine Estremera

Ms.Christine Estremera is now a senior at Ohio University. Her current cumulative grade point average is 3.75.
Because of a need to make a difference in lives of others, she aspires to become a Speech Language Pathologist. Her professional dream is to help young children!

As a first generation college student and Latina, her parents have instilled the value of hard work and perseverance in her and her older brother. Ms. Estremera has always considered it a special honor to accept the Dr. Jason Carthen Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship through the Office for Multicultural Student Access and Retention (OMSAR). She is currently working in the OMSAR office and preparing to apply to graduate programs in her chosen field of study.
